Tidbits of Encouragement: Feeling Overwhelmed

Tidbits of Encouragement
It's easy to get overwhelmed by all the things you want to do, need to do, and should do. Just take it one day at a time and do what you can on a daily basis.

Today, there’s so much that is constantly battling for our attention. Which feels as if we’re being pull in different directions all at once. We all experience feeling overwhelmed, and the degree varies from person to person and situation to situation, but how we acknowledge it and work through is what’s important. For me, I become overwhelmed from external and internal factors sometimes individually or simultaneously. To overcome and or help alleviate those feelings for me, I take deep breaths, write it out, go for a walk, make a list, stretch, take a break, spend time with my dog, or meditate.

How do you feel about being overwhelmed?

Mellow Reminder
Did you take a break? Have you been slacking on your break time game? If so, that's okay. There's not time like the present! Moving forward check-in with yourself to see how you are feeling, ask yourself if you could use a break or try scheduling small breaks throughout the day. At the end of the day, reflect on how taking breaks affected your day.
